Ok, normally I give high reviews for HMD Publishing, so I think it is important to describe this project and the problems encountered. Because honestly, some of these problems have occurred on prior projects, but I just overlooked it. That being said, I'll use them again. The project was insanely straightforward....

I did a test book design first here for my management book. Very happy with the results. I will let them do the full book design now 😀 The responses were quick, they communicated proactive. And I like the way they make the book feel whole. Great color usage.

I wanted someone to help promote my book, but without much review, they immediately said I needed a new cover and manuscript editing. They asked for $800, but in the end, they edited only a couple of sentences and provided no valuable input. They changed the TOC but did not update the corresponding chapter....

Not too blunt. Too much about the other designers. A review is about HMD. Right now half of it is about your bad experiences with people who aren't HMD. Keep the praise. Cut the venting. --- **Tighter version:** > If HMD had been my first choice, I would have saved myself a lot of money and frustration....
